Solar Sunrise: Lighting the Way with World’s Largest Green Energy Park

India is taking a big step towards a sustainable future. The Khavda solar park is inaugurated in Gujarat. It covers an area five times the size of Paris and has a capacity of 1,000 MW of electricity production in its first expansion phase. A total capacity of 30 GW is to be realized. A joint study (only available in German) by RWTH Aachen University and strategy consultants PwC has analyzed the potential of recycling traction batteries. The results give hope for a profitable future. SVOLT is also working intensively on battery recycling.
